Presentation of American Academy of Environmental Engineers & Scientists^® Superior Achievement Trophy to HGL

On July 6, 2022, Lilia Abron, Ph.D., P.E., BCEE, Dist. M. ASCE, NAE, Former President of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers & Scientists^® (AAEES) and President and CEO of Peer Consultants, presented to HGL the trophy for the 2022 Superior Award for Excellence in Environmental Engineering and Science. HGL received the award for its innovative use of in situ groundwater treatment technologies at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. Dr. Abron presented the trophy on behalf of AAEES to HGL CEO Peter S. Huyakorn, Ph.D., Ken Cottrell, CPG, P.G., and Robert Bird, P.E., at HGL’s Reston Headquarters.

AAEES dedicates the award annually to the best project entered in its Excellence in Environmental Engineering and Science^™ International Competition.
