Since the launching of our Corporate Sustainability Program in 2011, HGL has made substantial progress on a number of initiatives. These included training and engaging employees about the program, improving the sustainability of our corporate practices, performing greenhouse gas emissions inventories, instituting green and sustainable practices and remedial optimization strategies to reduce environmental footprints at project sites, and compiling benchmark data for our corporate sustainability metrics. To ensure that HGL has a positive and beneficial impact with the communities in which we operate, employees participated in a wide variety of volunteer programs. HGL’s corporate commitment combined with the passion of our employees has led to many successes in the first two years of our program.
