News Flash – HGL Selected for All Three CLINs of the EPA Design and Engineering Services (DES) $1.205 Billion Contract

On April 7, 2017, HGL received notification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that it had been selected for a Remedial Acquisition Framework (RAF) Design and Engineering Services (DES) Contract in all three geographic zones (CLINs) encompassing all 10 EPA regions nationwide. The scope of the DES contract includes Fieldwork and Analytical Support; Treatability Studies; Remedial Investigations/ Feasibility Studies (RIs/FSs); Engineering Evaluations/Cost Analyses (EEs/CAs); Remedial Designs (RDs); Oversight or Oversight Support; and Other Work Areas/General Technical Assistance at Superfund sites for EPA Headquarters and all regional offices. This contract has a period of performance of 10 years (5-year base and one 5-year option) and a total capacity of $1.205 Billion. In February 2018, HGL submitted cost proposals to EPA and anticipates completing final negotiations in the Fall of 2018. A final contract covering nationwide capacity is expected to be in place before the end of this year. Once the contract is in place, it is expected that work being performed under HGL’s existing EPA Region 3 and Region 7 contracts will be transitioned to the new contract.
