HGL Selected for All Three CLINs of the EPA Design and Engineering Services (DES) $1.205 Billion Contract

News Flash – HGL Selected for All Three CLINs of the EPA Design and Engineering Services (DES) $1.205 Billion Contract

On April 7, 2017, HGL received notification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that it had been selected for a Remedial Acquisition Framework (RAF) Design and Engineering Services (DES) Contract in all three geographic zones (CLINs) encompassing all 10 EPA regions nationwide. The scope of the DES contract includes Fieldwork and Analytical Support; Treatability Studies; Remedial Investigations/ Feasibility Studies (RIs/FSs); Engineering Evaluations/Cost Analyses (EEs/CAs); Remedial Designs (RDs); Oversight or Oversight Support; and Other Work Areas/General Technical Assistance at Superfund sites for EPA Headquarters and all regional offices. This contract has a period of performance of 10 years (5-year base and one 5-year option) and a total capacity of $1.205 Billion.

Friday’s announcement is just the first step in turning this selection into work. Over the next 4 to 6 months, HGL will be developing and negotiating rates with EPA. Once the contract is in place, it is expected that work being performed under HGL’s existing EPA Region 3 and Region 7 contracts will be transitioned to the new contract. EPA is still evaluating HGL’s proposals for the $850 Million Environmental Services and Operations (ESO) Contract and the $1.57 Billion Remediation Engineering Services (RES) Contract. Given the hard work of our talented and dedicated employees, HGL’s management team is optimistic that more good news will be forthcoming from EPA by year end.
