HGL AWARDED $95M USACE, ST. LOUIS DISTRICT FUSRAP SITES CONTRACT
NEWS FLASH – On August 8, 2019, HGL was notified by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), St. Louis District, that it had been awarded a $95 million Small Business Set-Aside Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC). This award allows HGL to continue to support the Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP) and other Hazardous, Toxic and Radioactive Waste environmental investigation and remediation programs executed by USACE. As under the previous contract, HGL will be working with key team-members APTIM and AVESI on this new contract.
Work at FUSRAP Sites falls under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). The St. Louis FUSRAP sites contain low level radiological and chemically contaminated material and are located in the metropolitan St. Louis area in two primary vicinities: the St. Louis Downtown Site (SLDS) and the St. Louis North County Sites (NORCO). Response action services provided under this new contract will include investigations, drilling operation support, and Remedial Design/Remedial Action activities. Work will be concurrent at multiple locations including heavy industrialized areas, residential areas, recreational facilities, and open fields.
