HGL Selected as Awardee on $176.25M USACE Kansas City PRAC

On October 28, 2021, HGL received notification from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Kansas City District, that it has been selected as an awardee on a $176.25 million Pre-Placed Remediation Action Contract (PRAC). The Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) has a basic ordering period of 3 years with a 2-year option period, and it will allow HGL to provide a wide range of remedial action services at hazardous and radiological waste sites within the USACE Northwestern Division and EPA Region 2.

Activities could include excavation, transportation, and disposal of hazardous, toxic, or radiological waste; construction and operation of groundwater treatment plants; installation and operation of in situ treatment technologies; remediation incidental to munitions constituents; and mine waste reclamation or reclamation of abandoned mine lands. Other tasks could include addressing emerging contaminants such as PFAS and providing construction and other services to support the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). HGL is excited for this opportunity to continue and expand its support of remedial efforts in these geographic areas.
