HGL Selected as Awardee on $176.25M Preplaced Remedial Action Contract

On November 18, 2020, HGL received notification from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, that it had been selected as an awardee on a small business set-aside $176.25 million Preplaced Remedial Action Contract (PRAC), Multiple Environmental Government Acquisition (MEGA), in support of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Northwestern Division and its customers. Through this contact, HGL will support environmental remediation projects for both civilian and military agencies of the U.S. Government. This contract has a base period of performance of 3 years, plus a 2-year option period.

Services covered under the scope of the contract include Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) response actions mandated by the Defense Environmental Restoration Program (DERP), Installation Restoration Program (IRP), Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP), and Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Program. Activities will include excavating, transporting, and disposing of hazardous, toxic, or low-level radiological waste; constructing and operating groundwater and perfluorinated alkyl substance (PFAS) treatment systems, conducting military munitions response actions and demonstration projects (pilot studies); dredging contaminated sediments; and installing and operating in situ treatment technologies such as air sparging, chemical oxidation, bioremediation, and thermal treatment.
