HGL Joins Select Group with DAGCAP Accreditation

HydroGeoLogic, Inc. (HGL) has received its accreditation to perform Advanced Geophysical Classification (AGC) work at munitions response sites through the Department of Defense (DoD) Advanced Geophysical Classification Accreditation Program (DAGCAP). HGL is among just 10 DAGCAP-accredited firms. Of these, HGL is the only one that is a small business with full-service munitions response capabilities. HGL obtained its accreditation by completing a two-step process that involved an in-depth assessment of its quality system and a successful week-long field demonstration of its capabilities at the Aberdeen Proving Ground DAGCAP test site.

DoD established DAGCAP in 2016, and in 2017 it began requiring that firms using AGC for munitions response work be accredited. DAGCAP requirements are based on the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017: General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories, supplemented by the Department of Defense Quality Systems Requirements for Advanced Geophysical Classification (DoD QSR). The DoD Environmental Data Quality Workgroup manages and oversees the DAGCAP.
