News Flash – On September 30, 2018, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) executed a Remedial Acquisition Framework DES Contract with HGL. The contract encompasses all 10 EPA regions nationwide. The scope of the DES contract includes Fieldwork and Analytical Support; Treatability Studies; Remedial Investigations/Feasibility Studies (RIs/FSs); Engineering Evaluations/Cost Analyses (EEs/CAs); Remedial Designs (RDs); Oversight or Oversight Support; and Other Work Areas/General Technical Assistance at Superfund sites for EPA Headquarters and all regional offices. The contract has a period of performance of 10 years (5-year base period and one 5-year option) and a total capacity of $1.205 billion. The total capacity will be shared among all contract holders, with approximately 30% of the work to be set aside for small businesses.
This DES award follows EPA’s selection of HGL for a related suite of contracts. On August 1, 2018, HGL was awarded an Environmental Services and Operations (ESO) Contract that has a total capacity of $850 million and also encompasses all 10 EPA regions nationwide. HGL is well positioned to take advantage of its new contracts, make strategic new hires, and grow into the future.
