HGL’s founder, Peter Huyakorn, Ph.D., BCEE understands the value of the Earth’s natural resources. It is his passion that has led HGL to develop engineering solutions to better manage those resources and to reverse harmful impacts to the environment. HGL strives to inspire its staff and others to excel both at work and at home. This influences and encourages going the extra distance, spending the extra time, and providing the extra motivation and support to make a difference for customers and in the community. HGL provides environmental engineering, remediation, and construction services, as well as Military Munitions Response Program support, to the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Department of Energy, Defense Logistics Agency, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and other federal and state government clients. HGL continually adapts these service offerings and adds new ones to address emerging contaminants such as  Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) and as well as the challenges posed by climate change.
