HGL has been at the forefront of the modeling field since 1987, pioneering, developing, and implementing computer simulation models for environmental restoration and water resources projects. As one of the few companies that remain committed to research and development, HGL has unique capabilities to develop tailored models for the most complex and demanding applications. The models developed by HGL are used to ensure environmentally safe disposal and re-use of hazardous and industrial wastes, to ensure long-term sustainable use of groundwater and surface water resources, to assess the risks associated with industrial pollutants in groundwater and surface water, and to design cost-effective cleanup remedies.

Not satisfied with the off-the-shelf modeling tools that most of the industry uses, HGL maintains an active modeling software development program. We have developed, and continually improve, state-of-the-art modeling software, including MODHMS and MODFLOW-Surfact. The use of highly sophisticated modeling tools ensures quality and value in our own projects, and has also been recognized by numerous other consultants and agencies who have adopted HGL modeling codes in their organizations.
