HGL PAPER AMONG MOST REQUESTED IN ADVANCES IN WATER RESOURCES

OCTOBER 30, 2007A paper by Peter Huyakorn, Ph.D. and Sorab Panday, Ph.D. describing a fully coupled modeling approach for groundwater-surface water systems is among the most frequently requested papers published in the journal Advances in Water Resources (http://www1.elsevier.com/homepage/sad/downloads/03091708.html). This paper describes a mathematically and physically rigorous approach for simulating integrated hydrologic processes, and is the basis for HGL's MODHMS model. HGL SELECTED FOR AFCEE 4PAE08 CONTRACT

SEPTEMBER 28, 2007HGL is pleased to announce that we have been selected for negotiation of an AFCEE 4PAE08 contract. HGL was successful in competing for the full scope of services, which includes A/E support for environmental; military construction (MILCON); military family housing (MFH); and facility sustainment, restoration, and modernization (SRM) program requirements. The award of this contract, part of a $3B program, will serve as HGLs fifth AFCEE contract in the past 12 years. HGL has openings at all levels for talented and energetic science and engineering personnel to support this AFCEE program and others. Please visit our home page and click on the 'Careers' link for more information.

HGL SIGNS 10-YEAR CONTRACT WITH EPA

JULY 3, 2007HGL has achieved another very significant milestone by signing a 10-year, $65M Remedial Action Contract (RAC2) with EPA Region III. The scope of this contract involves comprehensive technical and field support services for EPA's superfund cleanup program in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia.

HGL MAKES ENR'S TOP 200 FOR 2007

JULY 2, 2007HGL is pleased to announce that for the seventh consecutive year it has been included in Engineering News Record's list of "The Top 200 Environmental Firms." With the largest percentage of HGL's revenue focusing on environmental construction and remediation, the firm moved up in the rankings to 134, a 16-slot leap over 2006's listing at 150. FLEMISH RESEARCH INSTITUTE SELECTS MODHMS

FEBRUARY 23, 2007The Flemish Research Institute (VITO), world leaders in technological research and application, has selected HGL's MODHMS for their integrated surface water/groundwater modeling needs. For VITO, the deciding factors were modeling support, user-friendliness of the ViewHMS GUI, pre/post-processing flexibility provided by the land use package, and (compared to MIKE SHE), MODHMS's robust fully-coupled simulation capabilities.
